Dr Susan Chambers
BM BS (Nottingham) 1980 B.Med. Sci (Hons) 1978 MSc
Dr Chambers is interested in children's medicine and shares the Child Surveillance Clinic. She also has an interest in Care of the Elderly, and has been involved in local initiatives seeking to improve the way we pick up medical problems in the elderly, particularly in relation to the risk of falling.
Dr Andrew Green
MB, ChB (Bristol) 1987
Dr Green shares the minor operation clinic with Dr Smyth.
He has helped to develop the surgery computer system, which is becoming an increasingly important tool in good patient care. He also helped to develop this website.
Dr Rona Hellings
BSc (Hons) (Bristol) 1993 MBChB (Hons) (Bristol) 1998 MRCGP
Dr Hellings runs the Well Woman clinic. She also works at our branch surgery (the UWE student health service). She has extensive psychiatric experience.
Dr Alison James
B.Sc and MRCP(UK)
Dr James spent many years working in the Department of Community Paediatrics before making the transition to General Practice. She specialised in children's continence problems, but also did child protection work, and worked with children with special needs.
Dr Harriet Lupton
MB, BChir (Cantab) 1977 MRCP, MRCGP, CSCT Diploma Counselling
Dr Lupton has a diploma in counselling, and is interested in psychological aspects of medicine. She is interested in general medical problems, diabetes and family planning.
Dr Tom Smyth
MBBS (London) 1976 FRCS DRCOG MRCGP
Dr Smyth has a surgical as well as general practice training. He is interested in medical education, diabetes and drug misuse. He also shares the minor operations with Dr Green. He helps in the training of our registrars - qualified doctors who spend a year with us to further their experience of General Practice.
Dr Katharine Morgan
MBChB (Bristol) 2005 DRCOG
Dr Morgan joined the Practice as a Partner in August 2010.
Dr Elizabeth Lawrence
MBChB (Manchester) 2005 DFSRH MRCGP
Dr Lawrence joined the Practice as a Registrar in August 2009 and after completing her GP training became Partner in September 2010. She works at bothe the Malago and BS1 Surgeries. As well as general medical problems, she has an interest in Mental Health problems, Sexual Health and Contraception and is qualified to fit and remove contraceptive implants.
